Our History

BPS Telephone Company is an incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) serving three counties in Southeast Missouri.

BPS has customers located in Bernie, Parma, Steele, Cooter, Denton, and Holland Missouri, and surrounding areas. BPS began operations in 1996 after a purchase of GTE exchanges. BPS Telephone Company is wholly owned by FDF Communications, a privately held corporation.

Since BPS began operations in 1996, major improvements have been made in the quality and reliability of service to our customers. These improvements include latest technology digital switching, fiber optic toll service, elimination of party lines, 100% touch tone, E-911, custom calling and class features, local dialup and broadband internet access, standby power, and replacement of most outside plants.

BPS Telephone Company is proud to be a part of our local communities. We sponsor a Youth to Washington D. C. each year. We sponsor activities at our schools and assist with construction plans as well as donations to benefit students.

BPS participates in job fairs to better educate students about telecommunications in hope that someday, they will return home for employment and be involved in their local communities.

BPS believes it is our Mission  to Keep you “Connected” to Each Other and to the World.
